LN2 chilling and pressurization system is a fully automated CRYO temperature simulated test facility using liquid nitrogen for structural load testing of various components used in space launch vehicles.
The aggregates under test are to be pre-chilled to cryo temperature of 80 K to 110 K initially and a required chamber
pressure is to be maintained with close accuracy of ±0.2 bar during the test. After the stabilisation of pressure in cryo
temperature, the structural loads will be applied using hydraulic/pneumatic actuators. The maximum duration of the test is of
the order of one hour to three hours. During this period the pressure and temperature is to be controlled within the
specified limits automatically.
Working pressure range:0- 20 bar
Temperature range: 80 K to 110 K
Accuracy: ±0.2 bar
National instrumentation Controller: cRIO-9035
Custom built SCADA interface with safety interlocks and communication control.
